Change is H.A.R.D! The road to alter one’s current existence can often be rocky and the ride a bit “hellish” at times. When the year draws to a close, some of us endured a season of change we are only too thankful to have survived.
Datafin like companies often do, had to “adjust its sails” quite a bit this year. The team had the mammoth task of transitioning to a completely new Applicant Tracking system. Any employee and boss who has an inkling about moving databases would know – you endlessly debate if year-end or new year would have been the better option of a time to take the plunge. Whether you change systems at the beginning of a year or at its tail end – you still have to go through the teething phase.
If you took a leap of faith this year to brave the jobhunting process with us, we salute you. If you did assessments over a weekend or had to help dig for qualifications and verifications upon the potential employer’s instructions to put you in good stead for the role you were vying for, we are grateful for your efforts. If you internalized the tips and tricks, we imparted to you for your meetup with the client and were successful in the interview, we are so appreciative of you. AND… if you bagged the job after a turbulent season of change to begin another… we all know new jobs come with their own challenges… then we are so PROUD of you.
Thank you for allowing us to help you through your season of change in your career and for entrusting us to help you get through to the other side in one piece. That’s why we do what we do because we know how H.A.R.D it can be, but more often than not, the change is worth it.
