Q: Do I need to pay to use Datafin's recruitment services?
A: No. Our services are completely free for job seekers. We're paid by the hiring companies, not by candidates. It is illegal to charge someone to find a job for you, don’t get caught by scammers!
Q: What happens after I submit my CV?
A: A consultant will review your CV against current and upcoming roles. If there's a match, we'll contact you to discuss the opportunity, your experience, and career goals before submitting your profile to the client.
Q: How long does the recruitment process typically take?
A: This varies by role and client, but you can expect an initial response within a few days of applying. We'll keep you updated at every stage, from screening through to interviews and offer.
Q: Will Datafin share my CV with employers without asking me first?
A: No. We always get your consent before submitting your CV or details to any specific employer.
Q: I haven't heard back, does that mean I wasn't successful?

A: Yes, while we have strong roots in South Africa , we recruit for roles across Africa, UK, USA and Netherlands, we recruit for a lot of 100% remote roles.

A: Our fees are based on a percentage of the placed candidate's annual salary, payable only once a successful placement is made. Contact us for a detailed quote based on your specific hiring needs.
Q: How quickly can Datafin fill a vacancy?
A: Timelines depend on the seniority and specialisation of the role, but our established candidate network typically allows us to present qualified shortlists within days rather than weeks.
Q: What is your placement guarantee?
A: We offer a replacement guarantee period on permanent placements, if a placed candidate leaves within the guarantee period, we'll work to find a replacement at no additional fee (specific terms available on request).
Q: How does Datafin screen and vet candidates?
A: Every candidate goes through CV screening and a competency interviews, before being presented to a client. Additional checks (qualifications, criminal record, credit checks and references) are done after the candidate has been shortlisted.

A: Yes, we support both permanent placements and flexible contract/temp staffing solutions.
