Paraplanner – JHB
ENVIRONMENT:
Our client, a leading investment and wealth management business, is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Paraplanner to join their dynamic team. This is a partner and client-facing role, ideal for a technically skilled professional who also enjoys building and maintaining strong client relationships. You will work closely with a Wealth Manager and their partners to maximise collaboration, generating leads, developing tailored proposals, and gaining deeper insight into clients' financial needs, with the aim of delivering exceptional financial advice services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

DUTIES:

Action requests received from your dedicated Wealth Manager/s in a timely manner.
-
Manage and capture prospect leads on the CRM system.
-
Ensuring all client information and documentation is easily and readily accessible on SharePoint.
-
Update and manage their CRM systems – Loading new business, switches, and top-ups.
-
Handle and solve client inquiries.
-
Respond to client emails in a timely and professional manner.
-
Prepare and implement investment proposals.
-
Gathering FICA and FAIS documents from new and existing clients.
-
Prepare onboarding documents – Due Diligence, Mandates, Record of Advice, etc.
-
Following up on new business applications and transactions in progress – ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.

Submit outstanding requirements as received from the internal accounts team and service providers.
-
Following the company's internal compliance requirements and guidelines to ensure compliance with the FSCA.
-
Action payment instructions and ensure they are completed according to the SLAs.

Maintenance of existing business – Switches, withdrawals, additional investments, etc
-
Prepare and distribute monthly/quarterly/annual statements/ tax certificates to clients.
-
Account Opening – Submitting various institutional investment accounts for opening.
-
Forex trades – Requesting FX conversions for offshore investments (i.e., ZAR to USD)
-
Loading and sending documents to clients VIA DocuSign.
-
Prepare investment review documents.
-
Maintain Service Level agreement deadlines

Main Purpose:Â
Provide world-class client experience to their clients by assisting wealth managers with all back-office administration:Â The successful applicant must:
-
Attend partner and client meetings alongside the Wealth Manager to support the fact-finding process and provide technical expertise.
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and clients, acting as a key point of contact for technical queries and support.
-
Prepare high-quality, compliant suitability reports and financial plans.
-
Conduct in-depth research and analysis to meet the client’s needs.
-
Collaborate with the wealth manager to develop bespoke financial planning strategies based on client needs and objectives.
-
Ensure all advice and documentation adheres to regulations and internal compliance standards.

Minimum  Requirement:
-
Competency with MS Office and MS Teams (essential)

Relevant Bachelor’s degree
-
Relevant RE exam qualifications would be an added advantage.

Proven experience in a paraplanning role, ideally at a senior level.
