An innovative FinTech company seeks the expertise of an ambitious IT Ops Manager to help lead a team in performance monitoring, management and maintaining infrastructure. You will also be expected to support projects and operations by providing technical leadership and expertise throughout the project lifecycle ensuring sound technical decisions are made with regards to the reliability, availability, and manageability of new and existing infrastructure services. You will require a relevant IT or Technology field tertiary qualification and/or equivalent blend of education and 10+ years’ relevant experience including ITIL, COBIT, Azure, Office 365, Virtualization, Data & Voice Networking & Security Operations.
Take the lead in resolving and instituting measures to proactively reduce the occurrence of service and/or security incidents.
Oversee hardware and software lifecycle management.
Develop and maintain adequate levels of monitoring and alerting to avoid service and/or security incidents.
Lead continual service improvement on all aspects of the technology infrastructure.
Develop, implement, and maintain infrastructure strategies and technology roadmaps.
Identify opportunities to take advantage of commodity and cloud infrastructure services to replace existing inhouse services, and actively plan the delivery of such services.
Provide leadership in ensuring availability of infrastructure services.
Oversee the transition of projects into operations, ensuring operational readiness and adequacy of knowledge transfer.
Produce, implement, and improve contingency plans, such as Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity events.
Assess, manage, and remediate infrastructure and/or security risks so as to reduce business and information exposure.
Relevant IT or Technology discipline tertiary qualification and / or equivalent blend of education and 10+ years’ relevant experience.
Strong theoretical and practical background in infrastructure technology including Server and Desktop Virtualisation, Data & Voice Networking, Security Operations, Server Hardware, Authentication, Mobility, and Messaging.
Understanding of and operational experience working in organisations that adhere to Service Management and Control frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT.
Intermediate or higher working experience with cloud architectures and technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office365.
Working knowledge of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) would be highly advantageous.
