QA Analyst (JHB)
IT – Software Testing
ENVIRONMENT:
A cutting-edge AgriTech company in Joburg seeks a highly meticulous & solutions-driven QA Analyst who will play a crucial role in ensuring changes made to applications function as expected and work on improving release processes. You will collaborate closely with various Engineering and other teams to ensure test scenarios are understood and evaluated prior to changes being released. You will also be expected to perform Regression Testing to verify that software changes and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality. The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar discipline with proven experience in a similar role with a solid understanding of Software Testing methodologies, tools and techniques.
DUTIES:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to thoroughly evaluate the functionality and performance of products/services.
- Identify and document software defects and track them through to resolution using issue tracking systems.
- Collaborate with Developers and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure that testing efforts align with project timelines and goals.
- Perform Regression Testing to verify that software changes and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
- Conduct Usability Testing to assess the user experience and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in release planning and review meetings to provide input on product quality and readiness for deployment.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging technologies in Quality Assurance and Software Testing.
- Provide clear and detailed reports on testing results and communicate any potential risks or concerns to project stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Perform Manual Testing.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience/Skills –
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role in Software Development.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
Advantageous –
- Experience with Automated Testing tools and frameworks.
