ENVIRONMENT:
Established in 2020, our client specializes in providing comprehensive IT, analytics, and software support services tailored to the fresh produce industry. They are seeking a Project Manager to oversee and manage implementation and workflow projects from conception to completion. The role focuses on aligning project delivery with their vision of providing efficient and professional services to their customers. Key responsibilities include managing implementation projects with a strong emphasis on deliverables, task coordination, and meeting deadlines. A 3-year qualification in Project Management, IT, or Business is required.
 
DUTIES:
 Leadership Output
  • Ensure effective knowledge sharing with team members as well as internal teams
  • Examine potential areas for Service Improvement and raise proposals to Management
  • Provide technical leadership
 
Project Management Duties
  • Lead the following functions, regarding own and team responsibility:
    • Ensure all required development and implementation tasks are accurately specified and reflect the agreed workflow as confirmed by the company and the client.
    • Ensure a project plan is created with agreed dates for each relevant phase of the project
    • Ensuring the project plan and communication relating to progress and responsibilities is executed with a high level of professionalism and accuracy
    • Ensure implementation is done with adherence to proper testing protocol
    • Assist Support and Development staff with troubleshooting client logs related to projects
    • Ensure constant feedback to sites regarding their implementation and support hours
    • Report any site-specific implementation irregularities immediately to the board and client Project Sponsor
    • Ensure client leadership is actively made aware of strategic system opportunities; the level of training required to further user independence and opportunities/avenues that exist to streamline operational processes
    • Take responsibility for prioritizing tasks in terms of urgency and importance within available resources
    • Take responsibility that all log inquiries/requests are followed up, ensure that client’s needs are met, and quality of service delivery is met
    • Take responsibility for ongoing relationship building with the client after services are rendered
    • Prepare progress reports
 
General
  • Lead the following functions, regarding own and team responsibility:
    • Take responsibility for the ongoing improvement of implementation and project management procedures with supporting documentation
    • Take responsibility for the ongoing reporting of any irregularities to the Board of Directors
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience
  • 3-year Project Management/IT/Business Qualification
  • 3-5 years leading projects
  • Strong technology inclination
  • Strong business acumen
  • Intensive troubleshooting knowledge
  • Previous experience in project or team management is a plus
