Junior UI/UX Designer (CPT Hybrid)

ENVIRONMENT:
AN exciting position is available for a talented Junior UI/UX Designer, with a keen eye for detail and beautiful visual aesthetics, wanted by a dynamic provider of sustainable and cost-effective Solar Energy Solutions. You will assist with the development, deployment and maintenance of an advanced computational design SaaS solution in the CleanTech space. You will be expected to play a key part in translation of company and product brand into engaging user experiences, and to form the bridge between brand and application. The ideal candidate will require a Bachelor’s Degree or accepted industry qualification in Digital Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), be proficient in wireframing and design tools such as Figma, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite or similar software. A portfolio showcasing your relevant UI/UX design projects or coursework will be required.
DUTIES:
- Assist in creating wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes for web and web applications.
- Collaborate with the Brand team to translate user requirements and business objectives into visually appealing and intuitive interface designs.
- Collaborate with the QA team to conduct user research and usability testing.
- Contribute to the development of user personas, user journeys, and information architecture.
- Assist in creating and maintaining design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries.
- Collaborate with the Development team to ensure accurate implementation of UI/UX designs.
- Stay up to date with the latest UI/UX trends, best practices, and industry standards.
- Assist in analysing user data and feedback to iteratively improve the user experience.
- Support the Design team in various design-related tasks as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
- Bachelor’s Degree or accepted industry qualification in Digital Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience/Skills –
- Proficient in wireframing and design tools such as Figma, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite or similar software.
- Basic understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively present and articulate design ideas.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow in the field of UI/UX design.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and relevant web technologies.
