A dynamic Project Management company in the Yacht Building industry in the Netherlands seeks to fill the role of a Commissioning Engineer. Joining its inspiring Project team, you will plan and execute Commissioning activities in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders of a large-scale custom-built yachts within the framework of the overall Commissioning planning and protocols. In order to achieve this, you have to gather all information about the technical specification of the yacht and all systems and installations on board. The ideal candidate must possess a Marine Engineer/Higher Vocational Education or relevant working experience of 3-5 years preferably in the Maritime industry and/or (Motor-/sailing-) Yacht building industry.
DUTIES:
- Inspect and ensure that systems and installations can be tested and commissioned in a safe way.
- Be responsible to start up and make systems and installations ready for use and execute sea trials.
- Document all data-related to commissioning and sea trial test programs.
- Work in close cooperation with the Owner’s Representative team and for this reason it is important to maintain a good working relationship.
- You will also work intensively with third parties (Regulatory Authorities, suppliers and manufacturers of materials, parts and/or services) to finetune commissioning execution.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Marine Engineer / Higher Vocational Education or relevant working experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience preferably in Maritime industry and/or (Motor-/sailing-) Yacht building industry.
- Knowledge of MS office applications.
- A good command of written and spoken English.
