ENVIRONMENT:
PLAY a critical role in driving revenue growth predominantly in the enterprise space within the South African private sector as the next Business Development Manager sought by a dynamic Software company in Joburg. You will achieve success in the sales cycle from effective customer prospecting, pipeline management, accurate forecasting through to deal completion and most importantly intelligent commercial deal management. You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline with 5 years’ work experience with a demonstrated track record of exceeding targets within an Enterprise Solutions Sales role. The right individual is enthusiastic and commercially focused with a proven track record in influencing, negotiating and closing enterprise deals.
DUTIES:
- Generate a qualified new business pipeline through effective techniques.
- Utilise strategic, proven sales methodologies to ensure that new business opportunities convert to new business software sales.
- Prepare business cases, proposals, tender responses, presentations, and sales contracts.
- Prepare a variety of sales status reports including activities, tasks, next steps, pipeline and forecast in relation to targets.
- Ensure that the CRM system (Salesforce) is always accurately updated with all necessary information.
- Adopt a ‘solutions’ selling approach, rather than a features and functionality sales approach.
- Effectively manage the end-to-end sales cycle from opportunity creation to deal closure.
- Actively increase your industry knowledge to educate and create awareness within the customer environment.
- Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge and be able to sell the unique benefits of the solution.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience with a Demonstrated track-record in over-achieving challenging targets within an enterprise software solution sales role.
