ENVIRONMENT:
PLAY a critical role in managing and nurturing client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving business growth as the next Account Manager sought to join the team of an innovative LegalTech company. You will also collaborate with the Legal team to develop and implement account strategies, identify opportunities for account growth and new business development while addressing and resolving any client issues or concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. The ideal candidate must be an Admitted Attorney with 4 years post-articles and 3 years’ work experience in a similar role with a strong background in Account Management including a proven track record in maintaining and expanding client relationships. Prior experience in the Legal sector or a
related industry is mandatory. Please note this role is remote, however, if you are not based in Gauteng, occasional travel to Joburg might be required.
 
DUTIES:
Client Relationship Management –
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Engage with clients to record the client’s business and system needs and to design client solutions.
 
Client Training –
  • Train users within new or existing clients.
 
Account Management –
  • Oversee and manage client accounts, ensuring all client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and new business development.
 
Strategic Planning –
  • Collaborate with the Legal team to develop and implement account strategies that align with both client goals and company objectives.
 
Problem Resolution –
  • Address and resolve any client issues or concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
 
Reporting & Analysis –
  • Provide regular reports and updates to clients on the status of their projects.
  • Analyse client data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
 
Cross-functional Collaboration –
  • Liaise with the client, Legal Delivery Manager and any other applicable internal stakeholders to ensure that full, proper and timeous instructions are provided in relation to all client requests.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Admitted Attorney.
  • At least 4 years post-articles experience in the Legal sector or a related industry.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Client Relationship Management, Account Management, or a similar role, preferably within the Legal industry.
  • Excellent client relations and management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A methodical approach to tasks with real attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills that will allow you to adopt a logical, step-by-step process to working with software systems and building solutions.
  • The skillset to engage in detailed, in-depth analysis of legal contracts and client processes to design step-by-step workflows that automate Legal Drafting, Compliance and Business Intelligence.
