ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic consultancy at the forefront of software and data innovation is currently seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to report to the Technical Architect for the ServiceNow Platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying ServiceNow solutions, collaborating with users and team members to understand requirements, and crafting effective solutions that align with those needs.
DUTIES:
- Participate in requirement gathering phases to provide time estimation for users’ needs.
- Analyze technical development requirements.
- Create and update existing solution and configuration documentation.
- Deploy solutions in a test environment and conduct the required testing before moving to production to ensure quality.
- Implement best practices in coding and design according to ServiceNow standards and community guidelines.
- Follow the ITIL process to develop solutions.
- Identify opportunities to automate and enhance the end-user experience.
- Script in various areas (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Access Control Lists, UI Policies, Portal Pages, UI Pages).
- Set up reporting and dashboards.
- Configure Flow Designer or workflows.
- Develop Service Catalog solutions.
- Write code using JavaScript, HTML, Angular, CSS, and AJAX.
- Develop integrations with third-party tools or ServiceNow to ServiceNow integration using Scripted and OOB REST API and SOAP web services.
- Validate technical solutions before deployment.
- Train and provide knowledge transfers to new team members.
- Support go-live and hyper care phases.
- Perform technical assessments of new plugin installations and configurations for business processes.
- Contribute to ServiceNow upgrades, patching, and release management cycles.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, standards, agile methodologies, and tools while ensuring adherence to coding and quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end ServiceNow ITSM solution.
- Guide junior team members when needed.
